In my experience working with numerous customers post-car purchase, the excitement of adopting an electric vehicle is often followed by the realization that their home’s electrical system may not be ready to handle the increased demand for charging. As an electrician specializing in EV charger installations, I frequently encounter scenarios where homeowners eagerly reach out for a new car charger installation, only to discover that their current electrical panel lacks the capacity required.

While we are well-versed in installing electric car chargers, the limitations of the existing electrical panel can pose a challenge. It’s not uncommon for homeowners to be unaware of their panel’s capacity or the specific electrical requirements associated with EV charging.
